Tiber Hudson’s GSE Team has extensive experience and involvement in affordable housing financial transactions, particularly secondary market loans sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as private placements with national banks. Our practice encompasses the structuring, negotiation and closing of various loan executions, including tax exempt and taxable mortgage bonds, tax exempt loans, 4% and 9% forward commitments and permanent loan conversions as well as refinancings, and preservation loans.
Our GSE Team is mission-driven in that our primary focus is the construction and preservation of affordable housing throughout the 50 States. We represent a majority of the Freddie Mac Optigo® Lenders as well as a majority of the Fannie Mae DUS® Lenders. We are also one of a handful of law firms that act as joint counsel for Freddie Mac and Optigo® Lenders in connection with the Freddie Mac Tax Exempt Loan (TEL) program. Our skill and experience are recognized nationally and further benefitted by having attorneys who have GSE and Lender in-house knowledge, all of which are necessary tools to handle the complexities resulting from the ever-changing market conditions.
