Magdalena Filipiuk

Magdalena Filipiuk focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including government contract litigation and construction litigation. With a background in litigating a wide variety of matters in state and federal courts, Magdalena offers a distinctive perspective and a wide range of skills that contribute to her effectiveness in vigorously defending her clients through the litigation process.

Magdalena’s approach to the practice of law reflects her deep commitment to zealous and principled advocacy and the unequivocal protection of fundamental legal rights. She acknowledges the magnitude of the responsibly attorneys have to uphold professional standards of ethics and obtain a favorable outcome for their clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Magdalena was a litigation associate at a national firm where she worked on mass tort and commercial litigation matters. Here, Magdalena honed her fundamental skill sets as a litigator and established herself as a zealous advocate who fiercely defends her clients’ interests.

Magdalena holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School where she served as Senior Production Editor of The George Washington University Law School Journal of Environment and Energy Law. She also served as a student attorney for the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic, where she discovered her passion for assisting underserved clients in difficult legal situations. Her experience as a student lawyer continues to inform her client-centered approach to litigation.

Magdalena lives in Washington DC. In her free time, she enjoys running on the National Mall, exploring the city’s robust food scene, traveling to new places, and cooking for her friends and family.
