Courtney E. Jones is an associate attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of Tiber Hudson LLC, where she focuses her practice on public finance for affordable multifamily housing transactions. She brings a strong foundation in real estate law, financial compliance, and housing policy, with experience spanning both the public and private sectors.
Before joining the firm, Courtney served as an Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where she advised Ginnie Mae on its mortgage-backed securities portfolios, issuer oversight, and housing regulations. She also managed the agency’s master sub-servicer litigation portfolio and represented it in the issuance of securities under its multiclass securities program.
Her private practice experience includes representing institutional lenders and mortgage investors in creditor-side foreclosure and eviction proceedings across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Michigan. Additionally, she provided legal support for initiatives aimed at assisting low-income homeowners, with a focus on foreclosure prevention and loss mitigation strategies. Courtney also completed externships with the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Trustee Program and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Drawing on her experience at the intersection of housing policy and finance, Courtney is committed to advancing innovative, community-centered solutions that promote affordable housing.
Courtney earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.
