Tiber Hudson LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Robert “Rob” Kearbey as a partner in the Washington, D.C.-based firm.
Mr. Kearbey has a multifaceted practice representing lenders, borrowers, underwriters, bond issuers, developers and others in commercial real estate and transactional finance. Rob has extensive experience in affordable multifamily housing finance, with a focus on LIHTC and Section 8, having spent many years representing Freddie Mac’s Targeted Affordable Housing team both as inhouse and outside counsel. Rob has been instrumental in the design and implementation of many of the new products and structures deployed by Freddie Mac, including the design and evolution of the flagship Tax-Exempt Loan (TEL) program.
Rob brings his institutional knowledge to bear in the representation of lenders in originating, securitizing and servicing affordable multifamily housing loans and bonds. Rob also serves as Bond Counsel, Lender’s Counsel, Underwriter’s Counsel, Borrower’s Counsel and Trustee’s Counsel for tax-exempt and taxable financings in the senior housing, healthcare and public infrastructure sectors.
